Whether you’re a mental health or healthcare professional; parent, stepparent or guardian; volunteer; or a caregiver of someone who has dementia or a chronic medical condition, you’re in the right place.

The role of caregiver is something that you chose, or it likely chose you. The kind of stress that you experience as a caregiver is different from what you experience in other aspects of your life. It’s more like a marathon than a sprint. You might have stress in another part of your life, and you can problem solve to change your perspective or the situation. As a caregiver, it’s more about being present in the moment and learning how to cope with the challenges that come and go on a daily basis over the course of time. As I know from my own experience, this is much easier said than done.

I’m here to be your guide and to walk alongside you on this journey. I’m here to share the tips, tools and skills that I’ve learned over the years as a professional caregiver and through my lived experience as a family caregiver.
